Dr. Patricia Deflorin
Professor of Innovationmanagement
Prof Dr Patricia Deflorin is as a project leader and lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden. She has completed the Habilitation and achieved the Venia Legendi of the University of Zurich in 2015.
From 2002-2004, Patricia worked as an internal auditor for Siemens Switzerland Ltd. She earned her doctoral degree from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland in 2007 and studied at the Fischer School of Business of the Ohio State University as a post-doctoral researcher. This research stay was supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
Her interest covers the management of industrial companies with a special focus on Industrie 4.0 business models and the role of Swiss manufacturing companies in international networks. Topics enfold the analysis and derivation of methods to implement opportunities arising from market changes and technological developments.
The collaboration with industrial partners allows her to transfer new management concepts into the classroom and to stimulate discussions of strength and weaknesses of theories.
